Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all purchases made through the ScentVault website (scentvault.co.za), TikTok LIVE storefront, and in-person or event sales (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by ScentVault ("we", "us", "our"), based in Bloemfontein, South Africa. By placing an order with us, you ("Customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Products and Pricing
ScentVault sells fragrances sourced primarily from Gulf and UAE perfume houses (including but not limited to Armaf, Lattafa, Khadlaj, Gulf Orchid, Fragrance World, Rayhaan and Maison Asrar), along with related accessories.
● All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
● Product images are representative; actual bottle design, batch, or packaging may vary slightly between shipments.
● We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to amend prices at any time before an order is confirmed. Confirmed orders are honoured at the price paid.
● Stock levels are updated regularly but are not guaranteed at the time of order; if an item is unavailable after payment, we will offer a substitute, refund, or store credit.
● Fragrances marketed as "inspired by" or comparable to designer scents are original compositions by their respective UAE/Gulf houses and are not counterfeit or unauthorised reproductions of any branded product.
3. Orders and Payment
● Orders are placed via the ScentVault website, TikTok LIVE, or in person at events/our physical stand.
● Payments are processed securely through Yoco . ScentVault does not store your card details.
● An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
● We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion (e.g. suspected fraud, pricing error, stock unavailability), in which case any payment received will be refunded in full.
4. Shipping
Shipping timeframes, costs, and delivery areas are set out in our separate Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Returns and Refunds
Our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms, sets out your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, including any applicable cooling-off period and hygiene-related exclusions for opened fragrance products.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including logos, product photography, descriptions, and the ScentVault name and branding, is the property of ScentVault or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission. Third-party brand names referenced are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively only.
7. Limitation of Liability
● ScentVault is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our products or Platform, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
● Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot lawfully be excluded.
● Customers with known fragrance allergies or skin sensitivities should patch-test products before full use.
8. Privacy
We process personal information (name, contact details, delivery address, payment reference) solely to fulfil orders and in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We do not sell customer data to third parties.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the Platform at the time of your order applies to that order.
